Reading List and E-book Week

Reading List and E-book Week
1 – 5 December 2014

The Library and Archives Service will be holding a reading list and e-book week during the week commencing 1 December.

Staff are welcome to drop in to find out more about the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system and arrange group or one-to-one training sessions. On Wednesday 3rd December a representative from EBL one of our e-book suppliers will be on hand to discuss and answer any questions that you may have on e-books. The timetable for the week is as follows:

Main Library:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 10.00 am – 12.00 pm. Library staff will be available to provide a general overview of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system. 12.00 noon – 2.00 pm. An opportunity to have a more in depth discussion with an Academic Liaison Librarian on the intricacies of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system. 2.00 am – 4.00 pm. Library staff will be available to provide a general overview of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system.

Wednesday 3rd December: 10.00 am – 11.30am. E-book training session for library staff and academic staff. Topics covered to include end user interface, intermediate/advanced features, searching for e-book availability. The training will be provided by a representative from EBL. 1.30 pm -2.00pm and 2.15 pm-2.45pm. E-book drop-in sessions for students. 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm. An opportunity to have a more in depth discussion with an Academic Liaison Librarian on the intricacies of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system.

Adeilad Deiniol: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. 10.00 am – 12.00 pm. Library staff will be available to provide a general overview of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system. 12.00 noon – 2.00 pm. Library staff and Academic Liaison Librarians will be available to provide a general overview of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system. 3.15 – 3.45pm and 4.00 – 4.30pm. E-book drop in sessions for students. The training will be provided by a representative from EBL.

Normal Site Library: Tuesday and Thursday 12 pm – 2.00 pm. An opportunity to have a more in depth discussion with an Academic Liaison Librarian on the intricacies of the TALIS ASPIRE reading list system.
