Main Library - Closed this Saturday

Chemistry for Biologists: The following two free e-resources have been added to the catalogue

"Biochemistry Across the School Curriculum (BASC)": 10 free online booklets aimed at A level standard students and their teachers, provided by the Biochemistry Society


"Chemistry for Biologists" a free resource from the RSC helps you understand the chemical principles underlying biology. The site is aimed at post-16 students taking Biology (or related subjects) to AS-, A2- Scottish Higher or similar level. It will also be of use to first year undergraduates studying biology.


Richards Reading Room closed 03.06.13 - 10.06.13

It will be necessary to close the Richards Reading Room for approximately one week from 03.06.13 to allow building contractors to undertake essential maintenance upgrades. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you wish to consult items from Richards while it is closed we will be happy to fetch them for you. Please ask staff at the Service Desk for further information.

New Chemistry learning resources added to the catalogue.

Learn Chemistry is an online hub for chemistry education resources and services, provided by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).
Includes hundreds of free interactive tools, data pages, worksheets, experiments, videos, podcasts, and more for primary school up to undergraduate student level.


Our Extended Hours trial is ending.

Main Library’s 24/7 trial and the longer opening hours at Deiniol will end at 10pm on Friday 31st May.
